Position Purpose

• Front Desk Coverage
o Serve as the first point of contact to greet students, administrators, faculty, staff, and community members at the front desk as they visit or call the office;
o create a welcoming and helpful environment to guests while in the office or on the phone
• Phones – Transfer calls and distribute messages to the appropriate staff member and/or campus department
• Perform general office duties- copying, scanning/indexing, filing, faxing, shredding, preparing mailings/receive mail, maintaining databases, binding documents, creating certificates, delivering documents to on campus departments
• Assist in preparing special projects and complete other projects as assigned
• afternoon availability preferred for Spring, open availability for Summer;

• work-study preferred

Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent
Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation

2 years customer service experience preferred

Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position:
Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Knowledge of a University environment preferred, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality
