Position Purpose

This is a front desk position for the College of Health, Science and Technology’s advising center. Student workers in this position spend the majority of their time working directly with students who are seeking an appointment with their advisor. The position requires good communication skills, patience, critical thinking skills, and initiative in order to make sure the students visiting our office receive accurate and appropriate information for their individual needs. This position also works closely with advisors regarding the management of their calendars and clerical tasks they may need assistance with. Projects are assigned throughout the year that requires time management and organization. Prior knowledge about our office as well as UCM processes and the town of Warrensburg is preferred for students working in this position.

Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent, Credit Hours (Specify hours below)
Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation

Must be a second semester Freshmen, Sophomore, or in first semester of Junior year (translates to between 15 and 60 hours earned). Majors within the College of Health, Science, and Technology are preferred. Customer service or office experience preferred.
Availability varies per week ranging from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM approximately 20 hour per week.
