Position Purpose

Full time 9-month teaching position.

The purpose of this position is to develop curriculum, deliver instruction, evaluate student performance and conduct assessment activities in support of the mission of the Department of Aviation . Primary area of focus will be the academic coursework associated with the Professional Pilot and Flight Operations Management degree option.

The Department of Aviation supports the mission of the university by providing high quality academic and technical education in support of Professional Pilot, Airport Management and Flight Operations degree options. The department owns and operates its own airport, training aircraft fleet and associated flight simulation platforms and related technologies in support of that mission.

NOTE: A Bachelor’s degree with significant field experience/unique capabilities may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.

Computer Skills
Experience

Three (3) years practical aviation related experience/aviation related educational experience .
Experience with cockpit automation/technically advanced aircraft (TAA) preferred.
Experience as FAA Certified Flight Instructor preferred.
Airline Transport Certificate/Type Rating preferred.
