Position Purpose

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Central Missouri is seeking to fill an instructor position in Chemistry beginning August 2018. This is a 9 month full time instructor position. The successful candidate will teach 15 contact hours which may include Introductory and General Chemistry, and courses in the candidate’s areas of expertise as needed. There are no research or service requirements, although a candidate will have the opportunity to engage in these activities.

Master degree required, PhD preferred in biochemistry or chemistry by the appointment date.

Computer Skills Word-Processing, Presentation, Class Management Software

Formal training and demonstrated experience in chemistry.
Demonstrated skills for teaching undergraduate students.
Demonstrated effective communication skills in both written and oral form.
Experience with instruments and techniques commonly used in modern chemistry laboratories.
