Position Purpose

The School of Technology at the University of Central Missouri invites applications for a 9 month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to teach classes in the Construction Management and Civil Engineering Technology programs starting Fall 2018.

The successful candidate will teach Construction Management and Civil Engineering Technology courses, work with student organizations, develop curriculum and labs, foster industry contacts, recruit students, assess course results, and conduct scholarly research.

Education & Formal Training Master's degree (Specify field(s) of study below)
Other Education & Formal Training

1. Earned Doctorate preferred.
NOTE: The earned doctorate is required prior to tenure consideration.
2. Master’s degree required.
3. Either Bachelor’s or Master’s degree must be in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or closely related field.

Computer Skills Word-Processing, Presentation, Class Management Software

Three (3) years relevant U.S. construction industry experience.
Communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
Professional licensure and registration (PE, AIA)
Professional credentials (CPC, LEED AP, PMP, etc.)
Prior teaching experience at the college or university level.
