Position Purpose

Full time, 9-month teaching position.

Develop coursework, deliver instruction, evaluate performance and conduct assessment activities at the undergraduate and graduate level, in support of the mission of the Department of Aviation. This faculty position will be a “generalist” in the field of aviation with expertise focusing on flight operations, aviation management, aviation safety or unmanned systems.

The Department of Aviation supports the mission of the university by providing high quality academic and technical education is support of the Professional Pilot, Airport Management and Flight Operations management undergraduate programs and a graduate program that offers a Master of Science degree in Aviation Safety. The department of Aviation owns and operates its own airport, training aircraft fleet and associated flight simulation platforms and related technologies.

- Master’s degree in Aviation or related field at time of appointment.


- Doctorate degree in an aviation career field.

A doctorate will be required for tenure consideration.

Three (3) years of practical experience in aviation related field of expertise.
Experience in collegiate aviation environment preferred.
Educational experience at the Graduate level preferred.
