Position Purpose

Provide leadership, supervision, and oversight of grant-funded and revenue-based programs and the personnel responsible for direct leadership of programs housed in the Missouri Safety Center (MSC).
Serve as academic chair for the Crisis and Disaster Management (CDM) program.
Ensure financial viability and sustainability of the Missouri Safety Center.
Serve as a liaison and primary representative to state and national governing bodies as well as local, national, and international interest groups to carry forward the mission of the MSC.

Experience

Five years progressively more responsible leadership and decision making experience in a safety-related field &/or in a for-profit business operation.
Three year’s experience in program administration including supervision of full-time personnel, budgets and other resources.
Three year’s experience in project development and/or project leadership.
Proven experience developing strategic &/or business plans and strategies for future growth.
Proven experience with grant writing, grant and personnel management.
Preferred: Experience and involvement in safety-related professional groups/organizations.
Preferred: Experience in supervision of multiple-discipline teams.
Preferred: Experience in adult education or training.
