Position Purpose

Monitor the international student recruitment budget and develop recruitment and marketing plans designed to attain or exceed the University’s international admission’s goals and objectives for each recruitment cycle, to include: Engagement in international travel and represent the University at recruitment fairs, high school visits, and partner institutions overseas; Interact with potential students abroad, embassies, and international education centers regarding educational opportunities at UCM; Respond to student inquiries and serve as a frontline liaison for international student recruiting at UCM; Maintain a network of international education agents and oversea contacts; Manage the international education agents’ contracts with UCM as well as the student qualifying and payment of agents; In cooperation with University offices/departments arrange meetings on campus for prospective students and international visitors; Create and disseminate recruitment publications, video, internet and multi-media applications; Coordinate advertising for international recruitment purposes; Develop thoroughly vetted articulation agreements with selected two year institutions located outside the U.S.; Monitor and award international scholarships to eligible applicants; Be familiar with regulations and procedures governing international students in the United States; Communicate and collaborate with the UCM International Admissions office and International Center; Perform other duties as assigned.

Master’s degree in Business, College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, other related fields.

Experience

Three years of progressively more responsible experience in admissions, enrollment management, student affairs, counseling or related field. One year experience in international admissions preferred.
Two years of experience in the area of university recruitment and/or marketing. One year international recruitment experience preferred.

Must be able to obtain a Passport and other required documents to travel abroad.
