Position Purpose

Function as a customer relations specialist, to include: provide general and specific information about University of Central Missouri – Lee’s Summit, Extended Studies and the University. Receive, research, and respond to inquiries presented to the site via telephone and walk-in customers. Promote programs to potential students. Determine proper routing of customer inquiries to the departmental staff or specific departments on main campus. Alert Staff and Director of potential problems requiring higher level attention. Work with departmental staff to develop and implement new customer service processes as needed.
Support UCM – Lee’s Summit administrative needs.
Provide technical support to faculty teaching from UCM – Lee’s Summit site. Provide knowledge of standard classroom audio/visual setup and troubleshooting of audio/visual and computer problems. Provide basic computer and printer support for students utilizing the sites computer lab. Provide technical assistance to classroom assignments, requiring knowledge of Banner.
Provide oversight of student and temporary employees. Assist in the hiring and training of temporary and student employees.

Experience

Two (2) years of related office experience required with at least one (1) year of customer service related experience.
