Working hours:

Teach MGT 5320 – The Learning Organization class in the fall semester on Tuesdays for the scheduled section which meets 6:00-8:45 p.m. at the Lee’s Summit campus. Additionally be available for 5 office hours per week in Lee’s Summit. Class begins August 15th and ends week of December 4th.

Position Purpose

Teach MGT 5320 – The Learning Organization class in the fall semester on Tuesdays for the scheduled section which meets 6:00-8:45 p.m. at the Lee’s Summit campus. Additionally be available for 5 office hours per week in Lee’s Summit. Class begins August 15th and ends week of December 4th.

Master’s degree from an institution with AACSB accreditation and in discipline related to primary course content. Typically, master’s degrees in the following fields may be appropriate:
• Organization Behavior, Organization Development, Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Development – MA/MS or related
MBA
• Management MS/MA

Computer Skills Other - Microsoft Office
Experience

5 years relevant experience with change management in a business setting.
Preferred: Experience teaching face-to-face experiential team-based courses. Experience designing and implementing organizational change initiatives. Experience teaching organizational behavior or similar classes.

Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Leadership skills: organization/meeting facilitation/project leadership, Management and/or administration skills, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality

Ability to coach adult working professionals on leadership effectiveness and impact are essential to this position.
Management classes at UCM are offered in a face-to-face manner. Courses will not be on-line nor hybrid. The class schedule is already set and students are enrolled. Therefore, the class days and times are not negotiable.
